Joyce Sundin, based in Seattle Washington, is well known in the Pacific Northwest for effective interventions. She was one of the pioneers of intervention in this region and has been training and facilitating interventions since 1979.

Her practice has grown primarily through word-of-mouth referrals and she now conducts inteventions throughout the United States and abroad. Over 90% of the individuals who go through the intervention process with her seek treatment. Joyce is a seasoned interventionist and case manager, working with some of the most difficult and reluctant clients.

Joyce is a Board Registered Interventionist II who devotes her practice exclusively to interventions. While she works primarily in the field of chemical dependence, she has also been successful with intervention on eating disorders, gambling, smoking, unhealthy dependencies in the work place and in relationships, and assisted-living placement.

Joyce Sundin received her formal education from Seattle University later becoming adjunct faculty of their Addiction Studies Program. She is a member of the Association of Intervention Specialists (AIS) and also served on the board of this organiziation. In addition to being a Board Registered Interventionist she has earned the following: National Certified Addictions Counselor through The National Association of Alcohol and Drug Abuse Counselors (NAADAC), a Certified Chemical Dependency Counselor through the Chemical Dependency Professionals of Washington State (CDPWS) a Certified Problem Gambling Counselor through the Washington State Council Certification and serves on the board of the Washington State Council on Problem Gambling. Joyce has been trained in the Johnson Institute Model, the Invitational Family Systems Model, the ARISE Model and the Storti Model.

While her preference is to conduct interventions in the state of Washington, Joyce is available for national and international interventions, should the need arise.
