The Association of Intervention Specialists Credentialing Board (AISCB) credentials professionals as BRI-II who have met the following miniumum requirements

Certified or licensed in a counseling field

Submit to a single sources verification check

Have malpractice insurance

Adhere to Board Registered Interventionist Code of Ethics

Have a minimum of 5 years experience conducting interventions

Submit three peer evaluations and supervised practical experience

Successfully completed a minimum of 14 hours of training on interventions

Successfully completed a minimum of 14 hours of training specific to addictions other than alcohol and drugs
